Sara Espinosa is originally from Mexico but has grown up in Milton, Ga. She received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and has a minor in Cellular Biology from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the Liang Lab, Sara has done undergraduate research using stem cells to differentiate into the intermediate mesoderm tissue of the adrenal gland and research experience in extracting and purifying pectins from Arabidopsis plants. Briefly Sara also worked in a small biotechnology company producing antibodies.
